Privacy & Safety for Senior

Protect your personal information and stay safe online.

Why is privacy important?

Your personal information is like the key to your home. If someone gets it, they can steal from you.

Scammers often try to get this information through phone calls, texts, or websites.

🟨 What information should you protect?

Never share the following with strangers:

  • Social Security Number

  • Bank or credit card numbers

  • Home address, phone number, or date of birth

  • Passwords for email, bank, or shopping websites

🟩 When should you be extra careful?

  • If someone sends you a link and asks you to click it

  • If someone says there is a problem with your account

  • If someone says they are from the government or bank, asking for information

  • If someone says you won a prize, but need to pay something first

  • If someone says your computer or phone has a virus and tells you to install something

📌 Remember: Real banks or government agencies will never ask you to share personal info by phone or text.

🟪 How can you stay safe?

  • Don’t click on strange links or download anything you don’t trust

  • Don’t answer calls from unknown numbers

  • Don’t rush — scammers want you to feel panic

  • If you’re unsure, ask a family member, friend, or someone you trust

🟥 Quick Reminder

Your privacy matters.

If someone gets your private info, they can steal money or use it in other harmful ways.

💬 Golden rule:

If something feels “off” or too good to be true — stop and double check before doing anything.
